Mr. Chan went to Honolulu Hawaii
in 1971 in his early teens as a full-scholarship student from
Hong Kong to pursue college studies in Hotel & Hospitality
Management. After he received his diploma and worked
up as the Front Desk Assistant Manager position at the Ambassador
Hotel in a short time, he enrolled to the University of Hawaii
to better himself in the field of Accounting and Business Management. Shortly
afterwards, Mr. Chan was recruited by Delta Airlines (then
Western Airlines). Based in San Francisco he started his airlines
career in reservation and sale while pursuing higher education. He
finished his undergraduate works in Human Relations and Behavioral
Science in U.S.F. (University of San Francisco) while working
for the airlines and further received his Master of Business
Administration in International Business Management with emphasis
in Real Estate Investment from Golden Gate University of San
Francisco.
Powered by his dream to succeed and ambition
in the business world, he moved to New York after receiving
his MBA. After he resigned from his airlines supervisor career,
he began his journey in the real estate brokerage industry
in 1986 and became the top producer of the then Merrill Lynch
Realty (which later merged with Prudential Realty) and was
recruited by Sutton & Edwards, a commercial real estate
firm based in Long Island, and received his training in the
commercial real estate field. After working for a year
in the firm he followed his instinct and left to form his own
retail leasing company, known as Harvest International.
Harvest International, established since 1992,
models after major houses of the American mainstream commercial
real estate firms. Mr. Chan specializes in Restaurant
and fashion tenants rep works and had performed project financing
by bringing Swissotel, a subsidiary of Swiss Air, to Paris
and matched it up with the prominent S.A.R.I. Grouppe of France
to joint-venture for a hotel development in La Defense, Paris.
In recent years, Mr. Chan has spearheaded
the business growth and expansion trend by leading Asian tenants
into the mainstream shopping malls. For example; malls owned
by General Growth (then The Rouse Company) in America on a
national scale to operate and expand. Mr. Chan was also
instrumental in helping customers to successfully consummate
several triple net lease projects of over 100,000/sf in each
case on buildings that are under utilized, turned them around
and has earned himself a name of as a well-respected and prominent
commercial real estate broker in the Asian American businessmen
society, in New York particularly. Harvest International
is now an established, successful commercial real estate company
and has recently launched an investment banking division of
providing private placement service to clients to fuel their
growth and expansion by bridging West to East and East to West.

Daphne S. Zhou-Chan - Vice President

Mrs. Daphne S. Zhou-Chan, the Vice President
of Harvest International, is no stranger to the Asian Business
Community of New York City. She was one of the operating partners
at Golden Choice Realty, located in Flushing. During her time
there, she was instrumental in fortifying an alliance with
the renown TDC Development, handling the early boom of real
estate development in the Asian market.
Daphne came to New York in 1986 to pursue
her Master's Degree in Economics after she graduated from the
well respected and prestigious Beijing Foreign Language University
on a full scholarship.
Her dedication to her work allows her to incorporate
a high level of discipline and commitment in solving her clients’ problems
and dilemma; while serving and fulfilling her client’s
needs in the ever changing and complex real estate world, particularly
in the industrial sector. With this, she has earned herself
an undisputable reputation as one of the premier industrial
brokers in the field. Handling transactions from leasing to
sale, and to lease with option to buy are just of some of the
specialties she has in her repertoire as a broker. One of her
accomplishments occured while she was representing one of her
most cherished clients, Strong America. She helped them achieve
a doubled up gain on their corporate real estate investment
while simply workingtheir everyday business. She is also currently
a Lion Club member in the Flushing Chapter.

Olivia Balsamo –

Olivia is no
stranger to the fashion world as she first started her career
as the sales manager and the Assistant Buyer for Fashion By
Toby which has easily landed her a spot in a major commercial
real estate company based in Manhattan, i.e. Garick-Aug Store
Leasing Company, in the retail leasing Department.
Olivia’s prior years of business and work experience
have been multiple levels of sales and customer service including
Citi Bank and Ricoh Printer Company handling both government
and corporate accounts which gave her an insight in the business
world unparallel to any other sales professional in the real
estate industry.
Olivia is a dedicated, goal-oriented and turbo-charged energy
professional and Harvest International embraces her multi-talents
and experience in continuing forming a dynamic team to service
its global clients from coast to coast, may it be retail, office
or factory buildings requirements and that no requirement
is too small or too big. Olivia, as the Director of Marketing
and Leasing, is geared up to provide a thorough and carry-through

Theo

Growing up in a family of small
business owners specializing in foods services, Theo became
keenly aware of the importance of hard work and customer service
dedication are the vital ingredients to success. Having created
ideas and running day to day operations efficiently in order
for the business to prosper were challenging yet exciting at
the same time for Theo.
As a highly self-motivated individual, he quickly sought ideas
and routes seeking financial success. In 2006, he was recruited
by Century 21 Fine Homes & Estates in Great Neck. During
this transition, from running a family restaurant to assisting
in the development of the company, he is at where he can transform
his past work ethics and disciplines to a new dimension of
the business world. He quickly adapted to his new environment
and began creating new ideas to attract business and differentiate
their services and methods of operation from the competitors.
He is a compelling individual who thrives off productivity,
efficiency, and dedication to success. His desire to reach
out for success has landed him at Harvest International where
the President of the company spotted him and wanted to bring

Sherry, previously studied at the Queensboro College, is a formerly JP Morgan Chase employee in the banking industry in the customer relationship field. Her dailly interaction with people of all walks of life gives her an uncanny ability to spot out solution and focus in problem solving. Such is a vital characteristic to success in the commercial real estate industry, as not every case is a smooth sailing.
Sherry is a dedicated, hard-working, team-spirited individual and work can well with people and is highly dependable. She has joined Harvest International to further her business interests in this ever changing and challenging market place. She is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese both written and speaking.

Sophia Han obtained her Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees from China University of Political Science and Law. Before coming to the United States, as a licensed attorney of P. R. China, she was specialized in cross-border transactions in the areas of Foreign Direct Investment, Joint Venture, and Mergers Acquisition.
Her clients included Fortune 500 companies in various industries from hotels, chemical products manufacturing, to media, advertising…etc.
In 2008, she graduated from the Master of Laws program in the Indiana University with honors. With a passion for real estate and mergers acquisition business, she had joined Harvest International as the Administration Director, not only to empower a global company in servicing its international clientele effectively but also to enhance the company in all the cross-boarder real estate transactions as well as syndication for properties acquisitions.

Chloe Zhou, a soon-to-graduate Business Major in Accounting and Finance in Queens College, has chosen to join up with Harvest Internatoinal as a Sales and Leasing Assocaite to fulfill her passion for this multi-faceted industry with specialization in retail and restuarnt leasing. Her innate sense of fashion and passion for the various food venues are natural choice of her specializatioin.
Having been a student union leader in high school, the organization skills and follow up abilities down to the very last detail will no doubt continuously carry her forward in this fast pace chosen field that is vital for fulfilling every space requirement of her customers, no matter how big or small.
